Privacy

Nothing to consent to.

The tracking script weighs about 2 KB, sets no cookies and keeps nothing that identifies a person.

How Pulse handles data
No cookies
So there is no banner to show and nothing to accept.
Hashed, rotating ids
Visitor ids are hashed and the salt changes every month, so they cannot be linked across months.
Buyer emails
Kept only as a one-way hash, never in the clear.
From the maker

Hi, I’m Otabek. I make Halo and Shedi, two small Mac apps that I sell online.

For a long time I could tell you how many people visited, but not which post or page made someone pay. So I built Pulse. It follows each visitor to the checkout and credits the sale to the source that brought them.

It runs the analytics for Halo and Shedi today. It stays small on purpose: one script tag, no cookies, no banner. If you sell something online, I built it for you.

FAQ

Questions

How does revenue attribution work?
The script gives each visitor an anonymous id and adds it to your checkout links. When the payment arrives from Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar or Paddle, Pulse matches it to the visit that started it and credits the original source. Stripe Checkout Sessions and Paddle.js need one extra line, shown in the docs.
Do I need a cookie banner?
No. Pulse sets no cookies and stores nothing on the visitor’s device that identifies them across sites. Visitor ids are a hash with a salt that changes every month, so they cannot be linked across months or reversed.
Can I move from Umami?
Yes. Paste your Umami API key during setup, pick a site, and your history stays visible next to new data. It is free on every plan.
What counts as an event?
Every pageview and every custom event, such as a signup, a download or an outbound click. Starter includes 25,000 events a month, Growth includes 100,000 events a month.
What happens after the trial?
You pick a plan. No card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until you choose one.
Does it work with single-page apps?
Yes. Next.js, React, Astro and similar apps are tracked on route changes automatically.
Can I host it myself?
Yes. Pulse runs on a $6 VPS, and the docs walk you through it.
Can I track a native Mac or mobile app?
Yes. Send events with one POST request to the collect endpoint. The docs have a Swift example.
